The Art Olympiad is an international competition in fine arts, which has been held since 2018 and has already been held in Vladimir, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Moscow.
The X International Art Olympiad will be held from August 18 to 23 in Veliky Novgorod. This year, more than 250 people from 25 regions of Russia will take part in it. The theme of the Art Olympiad will be the cultural, historical, and creative heritage of the Novgorod land.
For the second time, the Olympiad in Veliky Novgorod is hosted by AMAKS "Russia". We thank the organizers for trusting our hotel!
The founder of the competition is a Russian socially-oriented non-profit organization - the International Union of Teachers and Artists. The purpose of the Olympiad is to improve the quality of practical training of students of children's art schools, as well as to create conditions for the development and realization of creative abilities of art teachers and their students, to identify and support gifted children, to foster respect for the artistic culture of Russia.
The competition is held on a complex of subjects: "Drawing", "Painting", "Composition" and "Portrait". The events of the Art Olympiad will be held on the territory of the Novgorod Kremlin, the Museum of Folk Wooden Architecture "Vitoslavlitsy", the Rurik Settlement. As part of the educational program, participants will get acquainted with the artistic heritage of the Novgorod land – visit the Museum of Fine Arts and the exposition "Russian Icon of the XI-XIX centuries in the collection of the Novgorod Museum".
