April this year is literally icy! After all, Veliky Novgorod hosted the oldest Russian junior hockey cup, the Tretyak Cup, at the Ice Arena.
The very "Legend No. 20" - Vladislav Alexandrovich Tretyak – the legend of Soviet hockey came to Veliky Novgorod to open the competition.
Teams from all over Russia came to Veliky Novgorod. The Far East and Siberia, the Urals and the Volga Region, the Central Federal District presented Constellation from Voronezh and CSKA Moscow, the southern one — Heritage from Simferopol. The teams of the north-west have the largest representation - in addition to the local Yeti, Dynamo St. Petersburg and Severstal Cherepovets also came to Veliky Novgorod. Belarus will be represented by pupils of the Ruslan Saley Sports School, and Kazakhstan will be represented by the national team born in 2011.
It was a great honor for AMAKS Russia to open its doors and host the teams that came to the tournament. We wish the young athletes victories, undying enthusiasm, fortitude and new heights!
