On December 26, the Governor's Christmas tree was held at the Novgorod Academic Drama Theater named after Dostoevsky. 500 children from all over the Novgorod region took part in it. A festive lunch for children who came to the Christmas tree from the Novgorod region was held at the AMAKS Rossiya restaurant.
Traditionally, the guests of the governor's Christmas tree are children from all districts of the region who have achieved success in studies, sports, creative and social activities. Children whose parents are taking part in a special military operation, as well as children who have committed heroic deeds, children from large, low-income families left without parental care were also invited to the holiday.
