This year, the Christmas tree is placed not on a flower bed, but closer to the Kremlin, in the depths of the square. As representatives of the "Municipal Economy" told, this is due to a complete revision of the concept of decorating the square.
"- The new location will allow the garland "Starry Sky" to be placed more evenly around the perimeter on the square. In addition, glowing small architectural forms will appear on the square, and pavilions selling festive paraphernalia and souvenirs will be installed around the Christmas tree," the institution said.
As last year, more than 70 strands of garlands will be stretched from the spruce, creating a "Starry sky".
